Is Dr. Alex Wibberley (YouTube) Actually AI?

Published · Watch on YouTube

There's a channel that I've been covering for a while. I believe it's an AI channel and I recently got the coveted YouTube health badge. So, that was pretty concerning and I had to find out why. In this video, I'm going to tell you how I believe that this was able to get done. So, if you try to find out how this process works, you probably won't find a lot of information.

It's all over the place. So, I made a diagram for it. Now, it's pretty simple. Well, you can just divide it into a bunch of steps. So, first you do the application. I'll tell you about what that entails in a bit. A third party, which I'll also tell you about, validates that this is a doctor according to their standards.

Next, after the channel passes that, then YouTube themselves takes a look through the channel to verify that it passes their uh terms and policies. I'll tell you about that as well. So, that's it. It's just those three steps that were developed in 2022. Before AI was so rampant, now there are a lot of flaws with them.

So, it's said that after the application, it takes a couple of months to hear back. So, if you mess it up, you're going to have to repeat unless you get completely banned. So, how would you avoid doing that? Well, what this is what the application actually looks like. You go on the portal and really in terms of identity verification, all you have to do is submit a photo.

I don't know if you know about AI, but it can make photos pretty well. A photo ID proving your license. This was a solid guard rail in 2022, but if you take a look around, fake IDs are being made all the time, more than ever now since AI has become better and better at doing that. That's it in terms of identity verification.

There is no realtime call where you have the creator do this to make sure that they're not AI or something like that, like stand up and do a squat. So all that to say is that the current application process is really easy to fake and especially depends on who is being tricked. So at this point they're not trying to trick YouTube.

They're trying to trick a third party known as legit script. So I'm going to speculate here on the legit script side that there is an employee looking through this and they have maybe two to three hours to do this job or otherwise they won't be profitable and they're going to have an angry employer. So, they got to do it quick and that means that they have to have business processes.

If you look deeper, they do have their process outlined. There's no interview. There's no time for an interview. It's just documents. Documents can be easily faked, just as easily as photo scan. Obviously, it's illegal. But if a channel is deceiving hundreds of thousands of people with millions on the line, I'd be willing to bet that they do the same with documents.

Again, that is my belief. So now you might be saying maybe I'm pickling too much on legit script. Well, [sighs] yes and no. So I'm going to tell you the facts without laying judgment here. You might have heard of a company called Medv or is basically one or two people who basically just resold GLP1 uh with very personalized marketing.

They've got letters from the FDA etc. Warren letters. This company, Medv, had legit script verification. It did not lose legit script verification. Even several months after the FDA issued warning letters to Medv, they still had legit script verification. So again, I'm not going to lay judgment here.

Those are the facts. You make up your mind. But whether you agree with me or not, a process that was made in 2022 after the rise of AI or the explosion of AI in 2023 definitely needs to be improved. If we go through the steps again, there is clearly a missing step of in-person verification or a video call.

You need something to prevent impersonation. So there clearly is a missing step here. After the first application, there is no inerson verification there in the whole process. I think it should be after the first step. There is no video call and so you can't protect this system from impersonation. The other step that's missing here that can be easily scaled is AI detection on videos by YouTube.

Uh YouTube should be easily able to do that. Hopefully, they will be able to do that with time um as their tech grows. But after Legget Script does their thing or whichever third party they use, at least the person evaluating it should look to see if the character in the channel is AI pretending to be human.

Again, my belief. That's all I have for this video. If you have any more information, uh, leave it in the comment and I promise I will read
